*RARE BROWNING P-4 SUPERPOSED SHOTGUN. SN P83RR1426. Cal. 410. 26-1/2″ bbls, matted vent rib with sgl silver sighting bead, 3″ chambers, IMP CYL/MOD choke, sgl selective trigger and ejectors. Left side bbl marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q./MADE IN BELGIUM” and right side “BROWNING SUPERPOSED/SPECIAL STEEL .410 GA. SHELLS – 3″”. Sideplated receiver is engraved with bold foliate scroll with shaded background with left plate with 5 gold pheasants, right plate 4 gold ducks, gold quail in flight on bottom and a gold dog’s head on bow of long tang trigger guard. Left sideplate is signed “J.M. DEBRUS”. Mounted with highly figured flame grain walnut, checkered flat knob pistol grip, Browning hard rubber buttplate and checkered field style forend. Bore measurements are N/A. Drop at heel: 1-3/4″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 6lbs. 11 oz. LOP 14-1/4″. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbls retain 98-99% orig blue with just a couple very tiny handling marks, some faint minor muzzle wear and faint rub line from forend. Receiver is clean, crisp and bright. Stock is sound with sharp checkering, a few minor handling marks in orig finish. Forend is sound with sharp checkering, a few minor handling marks, a minor shallow dent above checkering on left side and retains orig finish.
