20″ KESTNER GIBSON GIRL. The bisque shoulder head with long extended neck is incised “172 7″ and features blue glass sleep eyes with lower painted and remnants of original silk upper lashes, a protruding chin, and a slightly smiling mouth. She is on the original pink kid leather body with composition lower arms and legs and joints at the elbows and the knees. She has been well recostumed in a green taffeta 2 piece dress with typical high collar made of lace and yellow silk ribbon. She also wears what is probably her original brown human hair wig, as well as antique black oil cloth shoes. SIZE: 20” (52cm). CONDITION: Good. Old professional restoration at neckline, but does not go into the face. Fingertips on left hand especially worn. 1-9201 (500-800)
