*WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 TAKE DOWN LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 38-55. SN 256627. Standard grade rifle with 26″ rnd bbl, full magazine, uncheckered nicely figured wood with straight stock and crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl & magazine tube retain about 95% orig blue turning plum on the top with a minor scratch or two. Receiver retains 92-94% orig blue, strong on the sides, turning plum on top & bottom with light rust on both sides. Wood is sound with light handling & use nicks & scratches with a chemical streak down the comb, otherwise retains 85-90% orig finish. Mechanics are fine, strong bore with moderate to heavy pitting about mid-point. May clean better with a good scrubbing. 4-54998 JR129 (1,250-1,750)
