*WINCHESTER MODEL 1901 LEVER ACTION SHOTGUN. SN 67726. Cal. 10ga, 32″ bbl, FULL choke, single brass sighting bead. Top of bbl is marked “MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. / NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A. PAT. FEB. 16. 86. JULY 20. 86. DEC. 14. 86. AUG. 31. 97. MODEL 1901. 10GA.” Left side adjacent receiver is stamped “FULL”. The unique receiver is engraved on left side “RWAO” and circled by a large “C”. Mounted with straight grain walnut, uncheckered round-knob pistol grip, checkered steel buttplate, 2-pc forend retained by 2 screws. Bore measurements: Diameter: .773. Restriction: .030. Wall thickness: .042. Drop at heel: 2-7/16″. Drop at comb: 1-15/16″. Weight: 8lbs. 14oz. LOP 13″. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl retains orig blue that is blending with brown patina, thinning and blending with silver patina over chamber area, slight muzzle wear, normal nicks & dings and a minor dent 7″ from muzzle on right side. Mag tube has orig thinning blue, stronger in forward portion and worn to silver patina in rear. Receiver retains orig blue with some flaked areas blending with brown patina and blending with silver patina on sharp edges. Stock is sound with normal nicks, dings & minor dents and retains a dark oil finish blending with hand-worn patina. Forend is sound with nicks, dings & shallow dents and retains an oil finish blending with hand-worn patina.
