*WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 32 WS. SN 279404. Standard grade rifle with 26″ oct bbl, full magazine, half-nickel front sight and smokeless rear sight. It has nicely figured American walnut wood with straight stock and crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Bbl retains 96-98% strong bright orig blue with fine edge wear. Magazine tube retains 98-99% strong bright orig blue. Receiver retains most of its orig blue finish, strong & bright on the sides, thinning on the top & bottom. Lever retains 60-70% case colors, bright in the sheltered areas and the hammer about 90% dark colors. Buttplate retains 60-70% silvered case hardening. Wood is sound with usual handling & use marks with the forearm retaining most of an old wiped on finish and the buttstock about all of a lightly sanded refinish. Crisp mechanics, strong bore, a little dark in the grooves, but may clean. 4-54905 JR209 (1,000-2,000)
