Cal. 22 Hornet. 28-1/4″ Ovate bbl has matted top w/ one standing, 1 folding express sight w/ transversally dovetailed Lyman bead front and is engraved “Stephen Grant” on left side, and “674 St. James’s St. London.” and “.22 Hornet” on right. Case hardened action has some scroll engraving w/ SN “14692” and “Lever Safety” on right side. Rear of action is fitted w/ BSA patented target sight. Fancy burl walnut buttstock measures 15-3/8″ over steel butt plate, w/ large vacant silver oval and is checkered at 20 LPI w/ mullered borders. Forend has horn cap, with checkering to match buttstock. Weight: 6 lbs 7 oz. PROVENANCE: Dr. Frank Miller Collection. CONDITION: Fine, as refinished. Bbl retains virtually all re-blue. Action retains virtually all its re-color. Stocks retain 98% rubbed oil finish w/ some scratches and nicks. Bbl has been re-lined. Bore is excellent. 4-35698 MGM121 (3,000-5,000)
