2 PAINTINGS ON PORCELAIN IN GILT ROCOCO REVIVAL FRAMES. 1st quarter 20th century. The first, an oval portrait of mother and child; the second, a male figure in brown cloak with beer stein. Each mounted in ornate giltwood rococo cabinet frame carved with scrolling leaftips. SIZE: First: 11-1/2″ overall h. Second: 10″ overall h. PROVENANCE: From an East Sangerville, Maine private collection. Acquired by the present owner’s Mother in Florence, Italy in the early part of the 20th century. CONDITION: Both with repairs to frames. Paintings very good. 9-94950 (300-500)
