WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 DELUXE RIFLE. SN 42717. Cal. 30/30. 26” rnd bbl. The factory letter verifies these features. It was shipped May 18, 1898, a single gun on order #9149. Large buckhorn sight has been installed on the rear of the bbl. CONDITION: 90% blue on the bbl, 85% thinning dull blue on the magazine tube. Receiver has strong blue on both sides but the top & bottom are mostly gray metal. There is casehardening color visible on the sides of the lever and hammer, mostly gone at the rear and bottom. Forearm still retains some varnish, but has shrunk considerable lengthwise. Buttstock has nice grain with numerous rack dents on the left side of the grip.
