*PIOTTI GRADE KING I TWO-BBL SET. Cal. 20 ga. SN 7964. Beautiful and high quality set with 26” bbls, numbered “1” and “2”, with ejectors, and dbl lumps. They have tapered concave ribs with single brass bead and are choked – #1 bbls IMP CYL/CYL, #2 bbls MOD/IMP CYL. The receiver and lockplates are coin finished and beautifully engraved with full coverage intertwined foliate & floral arabesque patterns. The lockplates, bottom of the receiver and trigger guard have raised engraved foliate & flower bouquets. The fences & top tang are matching engraved. The opening lever and safety are also fully engraved as is the forend iron. The opening lever has a 2-color gold inlaid crown and the forearm has the Piotti crest in a diamond in the center. It has dbl triggers with the front articulated and a right hand trigger guard. The left side of the trigger plate is marked “Corti e Narcisi Inc.”. The wood is beautifully figured, honey & chocolate circassian walnut with splinter forearm & straight stock, 14-1/2” over a checkered butt. The checkering is very fine, about 28 lines per inch. Accompanied by its original green felt lined leather trunk case. Weight 5 lbs. 8.1 oz. Drop at the heel 2-3/16”, at the comb 1-7/16”, without cast. Replacement value is $28,000.00. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Has been fired but remains as new, retaining virtually all of its original factory finish to both metal & wood.
