WEDGWOOD FAIRYLAND LUSTRE IMPERIAL BOWL. Wonderful Fairyland Lustre bowl is done in the Rhages pattern with a wide band of a Persian design hunting scene extending around the exterior of the bowl. Just below the hunting band is a wide band of copper lustre decorated with gold stars and vertical squiggly lines. Interior of the bowl has a narrow band of Egyptian type hieroglyphics in black and gold against a light blue background. Remainder of the interior of bowl is done in a pearlescent finish with a central medallion of confronting peacocks. Marked on the underside with gold Portland vase mark, “Wedgwood Made in England”.
