*WINCHESTER MODEL 42 WITH SIMMONS VENT RIB. SN 118879. Cal. 410. 26″ bbl with Simmons ventilated rib, orange Ra-bar front sight, 3″ chamber, FULL choke. Left side of bbl, is marked “WINCHESTER-MODEL 42-410-3IN. CHAM./TRADEMARK-MADE IN U.S.A.-WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL-FULL”, left side of rib is marked “SIMMONS GUN SPECIALTY INC.” Standard receiver with full length rib extension. Mounted with nicely figured walnut, checkered pistol grip, sculpted steel grip cap, Winchester hard rubber buttplate, extended skeet style forend with checkered side panels. Bore measurements are not available for 410. Drop at heel is 2-1/2″. Drop at comb: 1-9/16″. Weight 6lbs. 6oz. LOP 14″. The stock and forend appear to be period correct to SN, skeet grade wood. CONDITION: Very fine, near new with custom metal finish. Bbl and receiver retain nearly all of their fine custom blue finish with minor thinning from forend on side of bbl and a few usual minor handling marks. Stock is sound with good checkering, some minor handling marks and appears to be Winchester factory orig finish. Forend is sound with sharp checkering, a few minor nicks & dings & retains most of what appears to be a factory orig finish. Mechanics are crisp with nice shiny bore. 4-39492 BDT15 (2,500-5,000)
