15″ EARLY TUCK COMB WOODEN DOLL. An outstanding example of an early 19th century wooden doll on a fully articulated wooden body. Finely painted features such as the eyelashes and eyebrows, the molded tuck comb and the most impressive being the delicately painted curls of hair on right and left temples. Wearing an appropriate garment of the period, but not vintage. SIZE: 15″ t. CONDITION: Face and shoulder plate show alligatoring to paint finish.
