IMPRESSIVE SILVERPLATED COVERED LOBSTER SERVING PLATTER BY FRANCO LAGINI, ITALY. First quarter 20th century. The large deep oval tray with wide hammered edge, fitted with a conforming hammered lid surmounted by a pair of opposing life-like cast lobsters, all silverplated on brass. Marked on base of platter “Franco Linguini, Made it Italy”. SIZE: 33″ l. x 17-1/2″ w. x approx. 8″ overall h. CONDITION: This high quality example is in very fine condition, showing wear to some of the plated surfaces. Otherwise in very good condition. 9-93205 (3,000-4,000)
