*PARKER DHE GRADE DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 28 ga. SN 186490. Built on an OO frame with 24″ bbls choked FULL/MOD with tapered concave matted rib with sgl ivory bead marked “TITANIC STEEL”. It has doll’s head extension, ejectors & dbl triggers. Receiver appears to have been either upgraded or had the engraving enhanced prior to a complete, very professional, restoration. Receiver has typical D grade engraving of vignettes of bird dogs on each and four pheasant on trigger plate surrounded by foliate arabesque patterns & makers name in a ribbon each side. It has nicely figured American walnut with checkered splinter forearm & pistol grip stock, 13-1/2″ over a checkered skeleton buttplate. There is a silver oval initial plate on bottom of the stock inscribed “S.G.”. Accompanied by a letter from Jaqua’s Fine Guns of Findlay, Ohio dated 4/18/03 showing that Mr. Dennis purchased this shotgun for $10,500.00 plus tax. Drop at the heel: 3-1/8″, drop at the comb: 1-3/4″. Bore restrictions: left – .027, right – .017. Unable to gage wall thickness. Bore diameter: left – .536, right – .545. Weight: 5 lbs, .32 oz. CONDITION: Very fine, as noted. 24″ bbls appear to be correct in all respects. Overall this shotgun retains virtually all of its fine professionally restored finish to both metal & wood. Stock has one or two minor nicks & scratches. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bores. 4-55499 JR44 (7,000-10,000)
