17-1/2″ SIMON & HALBIG MADE FOR THE FRENCH MARKET. Unusual closed mouth child with head incised “749 DEP 6” having blue glass paperweight eyes, closed mouth, pierced ears and mounted to a fully jointed French wood and composition body with original finish. She has been elaborately costumed in a pink silk two piece dress with pleated skirt, lace center panel on jacket with embroidered decoration and high collar. Wig is antique brown human hair with long curls. Shoes are leather modern replacements. She is accompanied by a paper French game box “Jeu Des Mulets Rigolos”. SIZE: 17-1/2″ (44cm). CONDITION: Very good, slight loss of color on both cheeks and tip of nose. 1-9193 (1,500-2,200)
