*OUTSTANDING WINCHESTER MODEL 21 TRAP GRADE SIDE BY SIDE SHOTGUN. SN 26101. Cal. 12 ga., 30″ bbls, matted tapered concave rib, brass front and red center sighting bead, FULL/FULL choke, 2-3/4″ chambers, ejectors and sgl trigger. Left side of bbl is marked “MODEL 21-WINCHESTER/TRADEMARK-12 GAUGE 2-3/4”. Standard receiver with “TRAP” stamped over top trigger plate screw, nicely figured straight grain walnut, checkered straight grip, leather covered recoil pad, checkered beavertail forend. Bore diameter: left -.729, right -.729. Bore restrictions: left -.033, right -.034. Wall thickness: left -.035, right -.037. Drop at heel: 2″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 8lbs. 2oz. LOP 14″. Accompanied with Cody Firearms Museum e-mailed fact sheet, identifying as trap grade, 12 ga., 30″ bbls, choke FULL/FULL, sgl trigger, selective ejectors, non-auto-safety, straight grip, Winchester recoil pad, 14-3/4″ LOP, 1-7/8″ drop at heel, 1-3/8″ drop at comb, started 9-15-1951 and shipped 2-5-1953. Inspection of trigger guard tang channel reveals matching SN stamped in stock. Gun is accompanied with 2 Winchester hanging tags. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls retain 98% orig blue with some minor light handling marks, and faint rub mark from forend on bottom. Receiver retains 97-98% orig blue, faintly bright at sharp edges and thinning and blending with silver across bottom. Stock is sound with good checkering, a 3/16″ black spacer added, a few minor handling marks, and retains a thin coat of added finish. Forend is sound with good checkering, a few minor handling marks, and retains a thin coat of added finish.
