FRAMED RHINESTONE-DECORATED ART DECO PICTURE. This interesting portrait of a young woman is made on a wood panel with burnt wood and colored decoration. The oval self frame portrait, decorated with flowers. The woman is adorned with fancy rhinestone-decorated earrings, tiara and bracelet. Also with top fringe of dress. Parts of the portrait have been carved down approximately 1/4″ and have a dark burnt decoration. this gives the picture a 3 dimensional effect. Housed in its original dark-stained wood frame with gilt liner and front glass. An outstanding example of the art of pyrography. SIZE: (sight) 21″h x 14″w. PROVENANCE: From an old Southern Maine Collection. CONDITION: A few loose rhinestones which have settled to bottom of picture. Some horizontal age cracks but generally very good. 9-94132 (1,500-2,000)
