ILLUMINATED APOTHECARY LEADED GLASS SHOW GLOBE. Exceptionally rare, hanging stained glass apothecary show globe and bracket. This circa 1890 leaded glass globe features six multi-colored tulip designs set against a clear glue-chip glass background. Just as spectacular is the cast iron figural griffin hanging bracket which supports it. Manufactured by Banks Druggists Fixture Co., Philadelphia, Pa. Only several dozen of these are know to exist, with two residing in the collection of the Smithsonian. SIZE: Globe measures 14″ 1/2″ tall x 10″ diameter. Bracket measures 10″ tall. CONDITION: Bracket has nice original painted surface; globe in good condition with few cracked panels. 1-26934 (4,000-6,000)
