UNCLE SAM DOLL WITH BISQUE HEAD. Exceptionally fine flesh tones, grayish blonde hair and goatee, molded eye brows and glass eyes; blue felt jacket with red tails, red and white striped trousers, dark blue vest with white stars, white laced shirt and red bow tie, gray velvet hat with dark blue band and thirteen stars and black boots. Bisque head bears the incised mark “S1.” This doll was made by Schlaggenwald under the manufacturing firm Haas & Czjzek in 1892 to be sold at the 1892-93 Colombian Exposition. SIZE: 14 1/2″ t.
