EMILE ALBERT GRUPPE (American, 1896-1978) “GLOUCESTER DRAGGER”. Oil on canvas Gloucester Harbor scene shows a green and red hulled fishing boat moored next to dock with building. A small boat with two men is next to fishing boat and they are loading nets aboard. Two other figures are seen at back of boat. A line of tall schooners is seen beyond with Gloucester city hillside beyond. Signed lower right “Emile A. Gruppe”. Housed in its original carved and silver gilt frame.
