*RARE PARKER A1 SPECIAL DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 ga. SN 207320. Built on an “O” frame with 32″ Peerless steel bbls choked FULL/FULL with tapered concave matted rib, dbl ivory beads, doll’s head extension, ejectors & gold plated dbl triggers. Receiver has spectacular full coverage engraving with the vignette of a cluster of daisies on each side with four gold daisies on trigger plate & another cluster of daisies on bottom front of receiver. Fences have three raised ribs around back edge & front edge of stepped area of receiver has a raised rib. Serial number on lower tang is in raised gold & it has “S” in gold on top tang. Opening lever, top tang, trigger guard & forend iron are engraved to match with about 2-3/8″ of matching engraving over chamber area of bbls & a small border pattern at muzzles. Forend tip is typical Parker shape with a relief engraved thistle. Mounted in highly figured English walnut with full checkered splinter forearm & pistol grip stock with checkered raised fleur-de-lis side panels, 14″ over old leather faced pad. Grip cap is hard rubber with a gold spacer & engraved gold insert. Accompanied by modern tan leather green felt lined trunk case. Drop at heel: 3″, drop at comb: 1-3/4″. Bore restrictions: left – .023, right – .023. Wall thickness: left – .028, right – .022. Bore diameter: left – .588, right – .596. Weight: 6 lbs. 14.4 oz. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls retain 96-97% strong bright orig blue with some light muzzle edge wear & a few small scrapes. There are one or two tiny spots of light pitting. Receiver retains 60-70% light case colors, stronger & bright in sheltered areas. Wood is sound & retains most of a professionally restored finish. Crisp mechanics, bright shiny bores.
