*ENGRAVED SMITH & WESSON MODEL 60 DA REVOLVER. SN R94167. Cal. 38 Spcl. Fine stainless steel Chief’s Special with 2″ bbl, red ramp front sight & fixed rear sight. It has satin chrome plated trigger & hammer and is mounted with beautiful smooth ivory grips. This revolver has full coverage outstanding foliate arabesque pattern engraving with feather patterns on top strap & beside hammer slot with a total of about 90% coverage. Engraving is unsigned but was undoubtedly done by a master. Back strap is also engraved with a small blank ribbon in center. This would make an outstanding carry piece. PROVENANCE: Dr. Frank Miller Estate Collection. CONDITION: Extremely fine plus, has been fired but very little. Overall retains about all of factory style polish. Grips have a chip in right side and need fitting, otherwise they are fine with a fine mellow ivory patina. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bore. 4-36210 JR296 (2,000-3,000)
