REMINGTON MODEL 1875 SINGLE ACTION REVOLVER. Cal. 44 WCF (44-40). SN 33. Blue finish with 7-1/2” rnd bbl, pinched post front sight, blued steel triggerguard and smooth 2-pc walnut grips numbered to this revolver, with “44” on left side at bottom edge. It has a lanyard stud & ring in buttstrap. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl & web retain about 90-92% strong, glossy, orig blue, very strong on web. Frame & grip frame retain 30-40% thin orig blue, having flaked to mostly a light patina. Triggerguard retains about 95% orig blue. Hammer retains about 90% orig case colors, strong on sides & back edge. Cyl retains 85-90% thinning orig blue. Grips are fine showing light wear with a few nicks & scratches and retain most of their orig oil finish. Mechanics are fine, strong bright bore with fine, light pitting.
