*PARKER UPGRADED A1 SPECIAL DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 28 ga. SN 238945. Built on an “OO” frame this fine little shotgun began life as a VH grade apparently with matted rib. It has its orig 28″ bbls with ventilated rib, dbl ivory beads, doll’s head extension, ejectors & Parker sgl trigger. Trigger will letter. Receiver is engraved with full coverage foliate, floral & arabesque patterns with extremely fine detail. It has three raised ribs behind fences with a raised rib around step side. Water table has lightning cuts & opening lever is fluted. Top tang has “S” in gold & bottom front of receiver has “PARKER BROS” in raised gold. Bottom tang has serial number in raised gold. Engraving patterns extend about 2-5/8″ over chamber areas & 1″ at muzzles. Mounted with very nicely figured replacement American walnut with checkered & carved beavertail forearm & pistol grip stock with checkered & carved raised side panels, 14-1/4″ over an engraved & checkered skeleton buttplate. Grip cap has a gold initial plate engraved “S.G.” Accompanied by a Galazan style leather maroon felt lined trunk case with salmon color canvas & leather cover, compartmented for the shotgun with snap caps, a square oil bottle, 2-pc ebony cleaning rod & tools. Drop at heel: 2-1/4″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Bore restrictions: left – .027, right – .016. Unable to gage wall thickness. Bore diameter: left – .533, right – .540. Weight: 6 lbs. 8 oz. CONDITION: Very fine. Retains virtually all of its brilliant custom finish to both metal & wood. Muzzle end of bbls were cleaned during refinish process. Bbls retain strong bright rust blue & receiver brilliant cyanide case colors. Wood is sound with a few small scratches on left side of buttstock, otherwise retains virtually all of its fine custom finish. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bores.
