GEORGE AMES ALDRICH (American, 1872-1941) “THE FLOWERED BRIDGE, QUIMPERLE”. Oil on board scene shows a three arch stone bridge covered with greenery. Houses are seen on hill beyond and beside. Four ladies are seen on steps, one is washing clothes. Nice reflections of a late afternoon sky in the water. Signed lower right “G. Ames Aldrich”. Housed in a painted wood frame with a Gump’s San Francisco, Honolulu label. Title on back of board. SIZE: 20” x 24”. CONDITION: Appears to have a scratch in right corner building.
