19″ LATE 19TH CENTURY JUMEAU BEBE.

19″ LATE 19TH CENTURY JUMEAU BEBE. Head incised “X8”. She has lovely blue bulbous paperweight eyes, open mouth with six upper teeth, pierced ears, well painted eyelashes and evenly painted eyebrows on original fully jointed body. Stamped in blue on the torso “BEBE JUMEAU diplome d’Honneur”. She has been well recostumed in a pleated pale blue silk dress with embroidered flowers. The shoes are original and stamped on the soles “8 Paris (bee)” as are the cranberry colored socks original. Wig is a 1960s human hair replacement and her high silk bonnet is a blue, purple and gray plaid. SIZE: 19″ h (48cm). CONDITION: Very good. Some typical paint peeling on fingers and legs. 1-9197 (1,500-2,500)
