CONTINENTAL EBONIZED WALL SHELF. Third quarter 19th Century. The three scalloped shelves joined by porcelain, paint decorated colonnettes, mounted with floral vinery, the rear supports engaged half-colonnettes, with a two plate mirrored back. SIZE: 20-1/2″l x 26″w x 8-1/4″h. CONDITION: The colonnettes with losses to some petals and leaftips, overall minimal. Also with stress cracks to capitals and bases. Proper, left rear capital with 1/2″ missing fragment. Painted surfaces dry but intact; mirror plates original; professional repair to scalloped edge and proper right front lower shelf. 9-94424 (500-750)
