CONTINENTAL ROCOCO CARVED GILT WALL BRACKET. First half 19th century. The shaped and molded shelf above a C-scrolled frieze applied with leaftips and flowerheads centering of pair of putti. SIZE: 14″ h. x 13″ w. x 9″ d. PROVENANCE: From a fine Coastal Maine private collection. CONDITION: With several repairs to scrolling branches, petals, and leaftips. Gilding has been retouched in areas of old repairs. Overall good in spite of some lost fragments. 9-93916 (800-1,200)
