*WINCHESTER MODEL 21 GRAND AMERICAN THREE BARREL SMALL GAUGE SET WITH HUEY CASE. SN 32172. Cal. 20-28, 410 ga. 26″ bbls, with matted tapered vent rib, red Bradley bead front sights, IMP.CYL/MOD chokes, ejectors and sgl selective trigger. Top rib of all bbls marked “CUSTOM BUILT BY WINCHESTER”. Top of left bbl on each set marked “MODEL 21-WINCHESTER/TRADEMARK” and individual gauge and chamber lengths listed, 2-3/4″ on 20-28 & “3” on 410. Bbl flats are engine turned stamped with matching serial numbers and Winchester circled “WP” proof marks. 410 has lightening cuts, all bbls are marked “WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL”, and right bbl “IMP CYL” and left “MOD”. Bbl lugs are stamped “1” on 20 ga, “2” on 28, and “3” on 410 with matching number found on inside forend iron. In addition, bbl lugs inside forend iron, standing breech, breech of bbl and ejectors are all finely engine turned. Chamber end of each bbl has about 3-1/2″ wedge of scroll engraving. The flat side receiver is engraved in Style “6” with gold or “GRAND AMERICAN”. Left side has oval with gold spaniel and smaller oval with gold ruff grouse in flight. Trigger plate has small oval of gold rooster pheasant in flight and large oval with gold rooster and hen pheasant walking. Right side has large oval of gold spaniel on point, and smaller with gold ruff grouse in flight. Trigger bow has gold wire border and circle with gold spaniel head. Top tang has “SAFE” in gold, water table has lightning cuts. Mounted with outstanding flame grain walnut with fleur-de-lis “B” carved pistol grip, sculpted steel gripcap with gold wire border and gold “GRAND AMERICAN”, checkered butt, blank gold oval fleur-de-lis “B” carved checkered beavertail forends with ebony tip insert. Exposed forend iron are scroll engraved to match. Exposed surface of each forend iron is marked in gold “8” of “8”. Bore diameters are not available for 410 and 28 ga. 20 ga) Bore diameter: left -.615, right -.615. Bore restrictions: left -.015, right -.007. Wall thickness: left -.044, right -.042. Drop at heel: 2-5/16″, drop at comb: 1-7/16″. Weight: 7lbs. LOP 14-5/8″. Housing this gun is a Huey Gun Case oak and leather case fully accessorized with blue felt interior. A check with Cody Firearms Museum reveals no record found on this SN. CONDITION: Extremely fine, appears test fired only since produced. All bbls retain virtually all of their orig blue, frame retains virtually all of its orig blue. Stock is sound with sharp crisp checkering, just a couple of tiny handling marks, retaining its orig finish. Forends are sound with sharp crisp checkering a possible minor handling mark or two, and retains all of their orig finish. Case and cover are in equally new condition with some minor scuffing to canvas cover. Mechanics are crisp with auto-safety, strong ejectors and shiny new bores in all bbls. 4-40088 BDT117 (50,000-75,000)
