*SCARCE COLT COMMANDO DA REVOLVER. SN 10356. Cal. 38 Spcl. Rare Colt revolver produced only under U.S. Government Contracts & specifications. There were about 50,000 total production, all with parkerized finish in 2″, 4″ & 6″ bbl lengths with 4″ by far the most common and 2″ being the most scarce. They were issued to a variety of agencies within the U.S. Government and then sold as surplus in intervening years. This revolver has 2″ bbl with slightly altered fixed front sight & rampant Colt, checkered “Coltwood” grips. CONDITION: Very fine. Front sight altered as noted. Overall retains 96-97% strong orig gray parkerized finish with only light holster wear. Grips are very fine with a few minor nicks on bottom edge.
