RARE 19TH CENTURY INDIAN BIRCH BARK QUILL DECORATED CANOE. The totally handmade root-lashed canoe is ornamented on each side with sprigs (probably representing balsam boughs), maple leaves and a beaver. The canoe has a wonderful old attic patina to it and a very desirable look. SIZE: 34″ long. CONDITION: Both tips of the canoe have edge damage and also very minor quill loss on some of the decoration. 9-92284 (1,250 – 2,250)
