ENFIELD PATTERN RIFLE MUSKET. Cal 58. Made by Barnett, this British issue musket has a 39” bbl, square base front sight/bayonet lug with musket ladder rear sight. It is mounted in a 1-pc walnut stock with three iron bands and brass furniture. The sling loops are missing. The left flat is scratched with several numbers and letters that are all together indecipherable. CONDITION: Iron retains a dark brown patina with the lockplate retaining about 70% original blue. Wood is sound and has been lightly sanded. Strong dark bore that will clean better. 4-50296 JR177 (200-400)
