RENAISSANCE REVIVAL WALNUT OVERMANTLE MIRROR. 3rd quarter 19th century. The rectangular mirrorplate within a carved conforming frame applied with gilt-decorated burled walnut panels headed by stylized capitals, terminating in scrolled corbels. The stepped molded cornice with gilt-heightened crest in the form of a C-scrolled cartouche flanked by triangular carved pediments. SIZE: 63-1/2″ x 56″. CONDITION: With very fine original surfaces and good mellow patina. One pediment was detached and suffered water damage while in storage. 9-95368 (300-500)
