LEE GATCH, Jr. (American, 1902-1968) “THE CHILDREN’S TAPESTRY”. Mixed media, linen and oil on wood abstract scene shows a figure, a rooster, a jumping deer, a yellow half moon, orange and blue sun and other shapes. Signed lower right “Gatch/63″. On reverse is the original artist title. Also a clipped title from an exhibition. Housed in a gilt edge simple frame with black lining. Purchased directly from a New York Gallery shortly after completion of the work by a Bedford Hills family. Never offered before at auction. SIZE: 16″ x 22”.
