RENAISSANCE REVIVAL WALNUT ARCHITECT’S TABLE. Third quarter 19th century. With the branded label of “H. CLOSTERMAN / MANUFACTURER OF CHAIRS, PARLOR FURNITURE, TABLES. HATRACKS, LOUNGES. CINCINNATI, O. PAT’D FEB’Y 12TH 1878”. The rectangular burled walnut top with canted corners, having an inset green baise writing surface, hinged and adjusting on graduated wooden brackets, above the conforming frieze fitted with a drawer and opposing sham drawer, one corner fitted with a pivoting inkwell drawer. The whole raised on a shaped trestle base with burled accents, joined by a rectangular cross stretcher with an ornate fern finial. SIZE: 31″ h. x 38″ l. x 24″ w.
