*INTERESTING ITHACA 4E SINGLE BARREL TRAP SIGNED MCGRAW. SN 404475. Cal. 12 ga. 30″ bbl, checkered tapered vent rib with Raybar front and ivory center bead, 2-3/4″ chamber, FULL choke and ejector. Flat sides of bbl in chamber area have geometric scroll design. The Grade “4” frame is engraved with bold foliate scroll with shaded background, left side with a positioned trap shooter with mounted gun, in lower left corner it is marked “ITHACA GUN CO.” and behind trap shooter is marked “McGRAW”, apparently the famous Ithaca engraver. Right side has Indian with a draw bow and lower corner marked “ITHACA GUN CO.” Bottom of receiver, trigger plate, and trigger guard bow engraved with bold foliate scroll with shaded background. Mounted with nicely figured walnut, fleur-de-lis checkered pistol grip with black gripcap, straight comb, 7/8″ black spacer with black “KICKEEZ” pad. Left side shadow line cheek piece, blank gold oval, and checkered beavertail forend. Bore diameter: -.727. Bore restrictions: -.038. Wall thickness: -.049. Drop at heel: 1-7/8″, drop at comb: 1-7/8″. Weight: 8lbs. 15oz. LOP 14-5/8″. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl retains 98% of its fine factory rust blue, a few minor nicks on ribs, small rub mark on bottom of bbl from forend. Receiver retains 85-90% orig case colors, strong on sides and across top, thinning and blending with gray patina across bottom. Stock is sound with sharp checkering and just a few minor nicks & scratches & a finish that appears to be the hard Ithaca factory finish. Forend is sound with good checkering, a little crazing in its hand finish. Mechanics are crisp with a strong ejector and a nice shiny bore. 4-39721 BDT96 (2,750-3,750)
