Egg shaped cushion back has pierce carved frame surround decorated with acorns, grapes and leaves enclosed by a border of molding made by a long and short scroll on each side topped by a center scroll. The top crest with a potted rose and flowers. Over upholstered needlework floral seat with wonderful carving of roses at knees and front seat rail with trailing vine. French cabriole type front legs ending in caster feet. Solid back. REFERENCE: Page 55, figures 24 The Furniture of John Henry Belter… by Schwartz. SIZE: 35-1/2” h x 16” seat h x 17-1/2” across front.
