*WINCHESTER CUSTOM MODEL 21 SMALL BORE SIDE BY SIDE SHOTGUN WITH VENT RIB. SN 30742. Cal. .410, 26″ bbl, matted vent rib with red Bradley front sighting bead, WS1/WS2 choke, 3″ chambers, ejectors and single selective trigger. Top of left bbl is marked “MODEL 21 – WINCHESTER / TRADE MARK – 410 – 3IN.” The bbl flats, lugs, chamber end, face of ejectors and standing breech are all finely jeweled. Custom flat side receiver has lightening-cut water table mounted with highly figured flame-grain walnut, checkered pistol grip, Winchester hard rubber buttplate, checkered butt, wrap-around multi-point checkered beavertail forend with ebony tip insert. Bore dimensions: NA. Drop at heel: 2-5/16″, Drop at comb: 1-1/2″, Weight: 7lbs. 4oz., LOP 14-1/8″. Accompanied with a leather luggage case with maroon interior, marked on front of lid “ABERCROMBIE & FITCH CO. / NEW YORK. MADE IN ENGLAND.” Embossed on top of lid “GEORGE W. BERGER / NEW HAVEN, CONN.” CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbls retain 99% blue with just a couple minor, small handling marks. Receiver retains 99% of its blue with a couple minor handling marks. Stock is sound with sharp, crisp checkering, a few handling marks with right side having some finish lifted from where it laid in a case. There is an area right at receiver and at butt, with some smaller areas along the side retaining a fine high-gloss finish. Forend is sound with sharp checkering and has similar spot on right side where finish had stuck on case interior. The inside forend iron is finely jeweled. Mechanics are crisp with automatic safety, strong ejectors and bright shiny bores, as gun has seen very little use. Case is sound with moderate scuffing to edges. 4-40889 BDT152 (16,000-20,000)
