17” GERMAN BISQUE CLOSE MOUTH TURNED SHOULDER HEAD DOLL. No discernable markings. With pale blue glass sleep eyes, on gusseted leather body with bisque forearms. Possibly dressed to represent “Scarlet O’Hara” at the end of the Civil War, her costume is green taffeta, green velvet, and gold braid trim, newer white oilcloth shoes, brown synthetic wig, and green felt hat decorated with green lace and feathers. CONDITION: Fine quality bisque, tear to leather in left arm where bisque forearm is attached. RS 1-3557 (350-550)
