SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1873 TRAPDOOR RIFLE. Cal 45-70. SN 158122. Standard rifle with 32-1/2” bbl, square base front sight/bayonet lug, ski jump rear sight, 1-pc stock and original brass and leather sling. It has a button head ramrod. CONDITION: Very good, the bbl retains 75-80% original blue with light surface rust. Breechblock has silvered case colors. Stock is sound with light handling and storage marks and retains most an old refinish. Lockplate retains most of an old refinish. Strong bright bore packed with grease. 4-50564 JR96 (500-800)
