*SCARCE REMINGTON MODEL 11 F GRADE SEMI-AUTO SHOTGUN. SN 74831. Cal. 12ga, 28″ bbl, matted vent rib, dual ivory sighting beads, FULL choke, 2-3/4″ chamber, left side of bbl is marked “MANUFACTURED BY THE REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION. N.Y. U.S.A. / BROWNING’S PATENTS OCT. 8. 1900. DEC. 17. 01 SEPT. 30. 02. JUNE 16. 08.” This marking is surrounded by a 5″ wedge of scroll engraving with matching wedge on opposite side of rib and left side is also marked “FULL”. Bbl lug is stamped with matching serial number and bottom of chamber area is stamped with “R.P.”, a large “6” and “D30″. The receiver is beautifully engraved with 3 vignettes on left side, one with 2 quail, center with a setter and pointer on point and rear with 2 snipe. Right side also with 3 panels; one with 2 woodcock, center with 2 ducks and front with fleeing rabbit. These are all surrounded by bold foliate scroll with punch dot background. Mounted with nicely figured walnut, checkered straight grip, Remington hard rubber buttplate, blank gold oval and multi-point checkered forend with ribbons. Bore measurements: Diameter: .730. Restriction: .030. Wall thickness: .047. Drop at heel: 2-3/8″. Drop at comb: 1-5/8″. Weight: 8lbs. 4oz. LOP 13-7/8”. CONDITION: Fine as restored. Bbl retains virtually all of its fine factory quality restored finish. Receiver retains virtually all of a fine restored finish, still retaining sharp engraving. Stock is sound with nicely re-pointed checkering, retaining a factory quality restored finish with just a few minor handling marks. Forend is sound with nicely re-pointed checkering, a few minor handling marks, and retains a factory-quality restored finish. The web has a repaired crack. The carrier & bolt are finely jeweled.
