*1920 POLICE RE-WORKED LUGER. Cal 9mm. SN 4422. Built on a 1906 frame without stock lug, this Luger has 4” bbl with 1920 chamber date and a 42 code toggle link. It has usual full-checkered grips and a fine early wood base magazine with number 1607d. The pistol overall has small British proofs and the right side of the receiver has 3, 1920 police re-work proofs. The receiver has holes on the left side for the sear safety, which is missing. The front grip strap has the unit marking “122.R.4.1”. The toggle assembly is from another pistol and the frame from a 3rd one. The toggle link pin is a replacement. CONDITION: Bbl and receiver retain 93-95% original blue with muzzle and edge wear. Toggle assembly retains 95-97% original blue. Frame about 85-90% dull blue. Very good grips with nicks and dings. Extremely fine magazine. Strong bore, frosty in the grooves. 4-50680 JR218 (400-700)
