LOUIS L. BETTS (American, 1873-1961) A STUDY FOR THE YELLOW PARASOL. Two sided oil on board study showing a woman standing in a white dress holding a bright yellow parasol. All against a blue sky background and hill landscape. The back side having two women with parasols and water background with town beyond. Housed in a reproduction carved and gilt wood frame with two gilt liners. Believed to be a study for the “Yellow Parasol” which is in the Morris Museum in Augusta, Georgia. SIZE: 14″ x 10″. PROVENANCE: New York City private collection. CONDITION: Very good. 9-99990 (2,500-3,500)
