WINCHESTER MODEL 1876 LEVER ACTION RIFLE.

WINCHESTER MODEL 1876 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 45-60. SN 27298. Early 3rd model with 28″ rnd bbl, full magazine, half nickel front sight and “1876” marked ladder rear sight. It has uncheckered wood with straight grip and crescent buttplate with trap. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Bbl & magazine tube retain about 80% orig blue, turning plum in areas with scattered spots of light surface rust that should clean. Receiver & sideplates retain 85-90% strong orig blue with some scattered light surface spotting. Lever & hammer retain dark case colors. Wood is sound with usual handling & use marks and a couple of gouges on the buttstock with a fine dark patina. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bore with a spot or two of light rust. 4-54426 JR93 (3,500-5,000)
