PAIR OF CHINESE EXPORT BALUSTER FORM ROSE MEDALLION URNS WITH COVERS. 19th century. Densely decorated overall with fruit and floral sprays amidst butterflies. The shoulders mounted with simulated gilt Foo dog ring handles. Each with a domed cover with a Foo dog finial. SIZE: 26″ h. PROVENANCE: Descended through the family of Shepherd Brooks, Boston, MA. & Medford, MA. CONDITION: One urn with large visible repair to side, the cover with extensive repairs. The second urn structurally very good with minor chips to glazed surfaces on rim of cover. 9-22194 (1,000-1,500)
