PAIR OF QING DYNASTY CARVED SQUARE ARMCHAIRS. 19th century, Qing Dynasty. The curved yoke form crestrail joined to cylindrical stiles centering a curved splat carved with a heart and deer beneath a tree. The shaped and curved arms on angled shaped supports centering a rectangular paneled seat. Raised on simple square and rectangular mortised legs joined by a box stretcher and frontal foot rest.The whole in black paint. SIZE: 42″ h of back, 21″ h of seat. CONDITION: Structurally good. Painted surfaces with wear and inpainting. Otherwise very good. 9-22259 (800-1,200)
