*OUTSTANDING PARKER VHE GRADE SIDE BY SIDE SHOTGUN. SN 209365. Cal 12 ga. 30″ bbls with matted concave rib, sgl silver sighting bead, FULL/FULL chokes, 2-3/4″ chambers, ejectors and dbl triggers. Top rib is marked “PARKER BROS. MAKERS.MERIDEN.CT.U.S.A. VULCAN STEEL”. The “2” size frame is standard “V” grade engraved with zig-zag border along edges and around screws and “PARKER BROS.” on both sides. Mounted with straight grain walnut, checkered pistol grip, Parker hard rubber grip cap, Parker Brothers dogs head buttplate, blank gold initial shield and checkered splinter forend. Bore diameter: left -.734, right -.734. Bore restrictions: left -.040, right -.035. Wall thickness: left -.035, right -.034. Drop at heel: 2-1/2″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 7lbs. 13oz. LOP 14-5/16″. The book Parker Gun Identification & Serialization does not show the SN. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbls retain 98% orig blue, with minor wear at muzzle, a few minor nicks & tiny scratches. Receiver retains 80-85% strong orig case colors, mostly on sides and across top with bottom thinning and blending with silver and brown patina. Trigger guard has mostly flaked and remains a mix of silver/brown patina. Stock is sound with nice checkering, some usual light nicks & dings and retains most of its orig finish. Forend is sound with fine checkering, some minor nicks & dings, and retains most of its orig finish. Exposed metal parts of forend have faded and worn to a silver patina.
