*SCARCE COLT 1911A1 SEMI-AUTO MILITARY PISTOL. SN 844464. Cal. 45 ACP. Early 1911A1 (1942 production) in usual configuration with fine gray/green parkerized finish, orig fixed sights with standard Colt markings on slide with a rampant Colt & “W.B.” (Col. Waldemar Broberg)inspector initials on left side of frame, with standard markings & small ordnance wheel on right side. Slide has matching serial number under firing pin retainer. Mounted with full checkered brown plastic grips with large donuts. It has orig bbl marked “COLT 45 AUTO” on lower left side & a “G” proof on bottom. Accompanied by an unmarked replacement full blue magazine. CONDITION: Extremely fine, near new, has been fired but very little. Overall retains about 99%+ strong orig parkerized finish. Grips are crisp, mechanics are fine, bright shiny bore with some slight frosting. 4-33497 JR159 (2,500-4,000)
