RARE HANDEL SCENIC “ROAD” TABLE LAMP. Rare Handel scenic lamp is reverse and obverse decorated with trees and meadows with a dirt road leading into the forest, all set against a light blue sky with puffy white and cream colored clouds. Some of the background trees, meadow, sky and clouds are reverse painted, while the large trees are painted on the obverse giving a nice three dimensional appearance. Shade is signed on the interior “Handel 6230” and artist initials “GL”. The shade rests on the original Handel base with footed bottom, ribbed stem and three light cluster. The base is finished with a rich brown lightly textured patina and is signed on the side with impressed block letters “HANDEL”. SIZE: Shade is 18″ dia. Lamp is 23-1/2″ t.
