RARE BUDDHIST GILT BRONZE LOTUS SEED POD. 18th century. Round pod fashioned with 10 movable “seeds” protruding from the surface which, upon touching, emit a pleasing sound. Base hollow and incised with three hearts. Now mounted on a hard wood stand. SIZE: Pod: 1-1/2″ h x 4-1/4″ dia. With stand: 3″ h. CONDITION: Very good with nice patina. 9-22305 (2,500-3,000)
